SaltyChat Download and Installation

Aktueller SaltyChat-Status

SaltyChat connects TeamSpeak 3 voice with a supported multiplayer server. Download it only from SaltyHub, keep the plugin and server integration compatible, and diagnose identity or connection problems before reinstalling random files.

Use the official SaltyChat package

The maintained download is published by SaltyHub as a TeamSpeak 3 plugin package. Avoid mirrors that offer loose DLL files, modified installers or “fixed” archives. A mirror can remain online after the plugin has changed and gives you no reliable way to verify who altered the files.

FiveRP checked the official 4.1.0 package on 15 August 2026. Treat the version number on SaltyHub as authoritative after that date; this page is a guide, not a replacement download host.

Requirements before installation

  • A supported desktop installation of TeamSpeak 3
  • The current SaltyChat plugin from SaltyHub
  • A FiveM or other server that explicitly supports the same SaltyChat generation
  • The server’s TeamSpeak address, required nickname rules and connection instructions

SaltyChat is not a standalone voice application. Installing it does not add voice to an arbitrary server; the game server must run a compatible integration and provide the expected TeamSpeak setup.

Install SaltyChat in TeamSpeak 3

  1. Close unnecessary TeamSpeak windows and download the current .ts3_plugin package from SaltyHub.
  2. Open the package with the TeamSpeak Add-On installer and confirm the installation.
  3. Restart TeamSpeak 3 completely.
  4. Open Tools → Options → Addons and confirm that SaltyChat appears and is enabled.
  5. Connect to the TeamSpeak server specified by your game community, then join the FiveM server.

If the package opens in an archive manager instead of TeamSpeak, repair the file association or start the TeamSpeak package installer explicitly. Do not extract individual plugin files into guessed folders unless the official documentation for your platform instructs you to do so.

Match your TeamSpeak identity and nickname

Many communities associate the in-game player with a TeamSpeak client using identity, nickname or server-side metadata. Follow that community’s instructions exactly. Connecting with a second TeamSpeak identity, an unexpected nickname or two simultaneous TeamSpeak clients can make a technically working plugin appear disconnected.

When switching communities, preserve identities you still need and record which identity belongs to which server. Reinstalling TeamSpeak can remove local identity data if it was not exported.

Update without breaking a working setup

First check whether the server has approved the new plugin version. A server integration can lag behind the desktop release. Export your TeamSpeak identity, close TeamSpeak, install the official update and verify the enabled version after restart. Do not keep multiple copies of the same plugin in different TeamSpeak installations.

Verify audio before blaming the plugin

Use TeamSpeak’s capture test before joining the game. Select the intended microphone explicitly, disable duplicate virtual devices you do not use and confirm that push-to-talk is not bound to the same key as an in-game action. Then test normal TeamSpeak speech with another person. If TeamSpeak cannot capture or play audio on its own, SaltyChat cannot correct that device problem.

Once basic audio works, join the community in the order it documents. Record whether the failure begins when connecting to TeamSpeak, joining FiveM, spawning a character or using the radio. That sequence helps the operator distinguish a desktop issue from a server event or voice-resource failure.

Common SaltyChat problems

The plugin does not appear

Confirm that you installed it into the TeamSpeak 3 client you actually launch. Check the Addons panel and restart TeamSpeak. If you have both 32-bit and 64-bit or portable installations, remove the ambiguity before changing files.

SaltyChat says disconnected

Verify the TeamSpeak server, identity and nickname, then confirm that the FiveM server currently supports your plugin version. Connection failures are often a server-integration or identity mismatch, not a damaged download.

Voice works but range or radio does not

Basic TeamSpeak audio and game-controlled positional voice are separate layers. Check the correct capture device, push-to-talk bindings and the community’s radio resource. Ask another player whether your positional volume changes before reinstalling.

The “moved” state never clears

Use the dedicated SaltyChat moved/disconnected troubleshooting guide. It separates local plugin state, TeamSpeak identity, WebSocket reachability and server-side integration instead of treating every symptom as a cache issue.

Security and archive policy

FiveRP does not redistribute unofficial builds. Older versions may be mentioned for compatibility diagnosis, but an archived filename is not a recommendation to downgrade. Only use an older package when the server operator documents the exact version and provides a trusted provenance.

Never paste TeamSpeak identity exports, authentication tokens or server credentials into a public support channel. A useful diagnostic report contains the TeamSpeak version, SaltyChat version, operating system, the exact visible error and the time it occurred—not private identity material.
