What is roleplay actually?
GTA Roleplay is a completely new gaming experience - and has little to do with GTA as you know it! RP is the abbreviation for the English word Roleplay. This means that players put themselves in the shoes of another character who lives in the virtual world. This virtual world does not know the real world, which means that information that you have received outside of the game cannot be used in the game. The character is created by the player themselves and then played. The whole thing takes place in the game Grand Theft Auto - a fairly realistic game that provides a good basis for this.
Be who you always wanted to be. The possibilities are endless. You decide on the career of your character, whether it is a government faction, a more criminal side, or just a normal civilian who wants to live his life. In RP, nothing is set in stone, we try to recreate real life as best as possible, which means: if you have a car accident, you have to act out the injuries or after-effects of the accident. The car has to go to the garage, you have to go to the hospital. All of these things are also played out by real players. If you violate these rules, for example, by simply driving on with your car, this is a rule violation and will be punished depending on the project.
While there are projects that have no selection process, meaning that theoretically anyone can play, there are also islands that "select" their players themselves using a so-called whitelist process. In this whitelist process, you demonstrate your understanding of RP and show how much you can put yourself in your character's shoes and convey his or her very own story. If the team likes your story, you are "free" and your new life in Los Santos is open to you. Before that, of course, you have to go through an application process in which you first introduce yourself as a real person and then your character. To have as much fun as possible, your character should not be you, but a fictional character with his or her own story.
