Why poaching servers will never be successful

Hello dear RP fans,

Today we would like to address a sensitive topic that has come up again and again at FiveRP over the last three years: poaching servers. Of the ten poaching servers, only one survived. In this article we would like to explain to you why this is the case and give you a better understanding of it.

Reason #1: Acquaintances from previous projects

A key factor that contributes to the difficulty of poaching servers is the fact that players often already know each other from an origin server and maintain contact outside of the game. Poaching players often happens between people who already know each other outside of the game. This loses the seriousness of the game as the interactions within the game itself (IC) become relatively boring.

The problem is that if all players already know each other, the dynamic and tension in the game is lost. There are no more surprises, no more unpredictable twists and turns. The roleplay becomes predictable and monotonous, which in turn reduces player interest.

Reason #2: The nostalgia of “back then”

Another aspect that contributes to the difficulties of poaching servers is nostalgia and clinging to past experiences. Many people have nostalgic feelings and long for the past. They remember a time when the game was particularly engaging and exciting for them.

The problem arises when players constantly compare everything with the past and fixate on previous experiences. As a result, they cannot fully exploit the current possibilities and potential of the game. Holding on to the past leads to resentment and frustration because expectations often cannot be met.

It is important that players realize that games and gaming experiences change over time. By focusing on current possibilities and exploring new avenues in roleplay, you can find new experiences and joy in the game.

Reason #3: Lack of supply of new players

Another crucial factor that contributes to the failure of poaching servers is the lack of supply of new players. If you already know all the players and no new players are added, the game will eventually become boring and repetitive. You have already gotten to know all your teammates/friends and there is a lack of new impulses and fresh stories.

A vital and thriving server needs a steady supply of new players to keep the gaming experience fresh and dynamic. New faces bring new stories and perspectives that can enrich and enliven roleplay. A lively community with a large number of players ensures a varied and exciting gaming world.

Conclusion – poaching is not an option – and not sustainable.

It is clear that poaching servers cannot survive in the long term due to the reasons mentioned above. The fact that all players already know each other and there is a lack of new players means that the gaming experience stagnates and becomes less attractive.

If you are looking for a truly premium roleplay experience, we recommend choosing a server from the official server list. There you will find a variety of servers with new players and exciting opportunities that will enrich and expand your gaming experience.

Let's enjoy the diversity of RP together and get the most out of our role-playing adventures! By engaging with new players and fresh stories, we can build a vibrant and dynamic RP community.

We hope this article helped you better understand the topic of poaching servers. Your feedback and experiences are important to us. Feel free to share it with us and let’s continue the discussion!
