In August 2022, the extremely popular FiveM Roleplay server, FiveRP, was shut down. The reasons for this decision are in one explained in another article that we have linked here. Since then, the community has been asking the question whether FiveRP will ever reopen. In this article we want to shed more light on this question and show how uncertain the future of FiveRP currently is.
The closure of FiveRP came as a shock to many players and fans. Since its inception, the server had developed into one of the largest and most active roleplay communities in the FiveM universe. Due to the high quality of the mods, the various roles and game modes as well as the committed community, FiveRP had established itself as a permanent fixture in the world of Grand Theft Auto roleplay.
Since the closure, the community has been in turmoil, eagerly awaiting news that could potentially indicate a reopening of the server. However, so far there has been no official information indicating that the server operators plan to relaunch FiveRP in the foreseeable future.
The uncertainty surrounding the future of FiveRP has left many players and fans looking for alternatives. In the meantime, other FiveM roleplay servers have tried to meet the need that has arisen and integrate former FiveRP players into their community. However, the desire for FiveRP to return remains strong in the community.

Dear FiveRP community,
We would like to thank you all for your continued support and interest in FiveRP. When we were forced to close the server in August 2022, we underestimated the extent of your reaction. We were deeply moved by the wave of sympathy and the desire to reopen FiveRP.
We understand that many of you are hoping that we will reopen the server one day. To this day, we regularly receive emails and messages asking whether we will reopen FiveRP. However, we must emphasize that the future of FiveRP is rather uncertain at this point. We want to be transparent and honest with you, and that means we don't want to give you false hope.
Since the closure, we have intensively addressed the challenges that a possible reopening of FiveRP would bring. These include legal hurdles, technical problems and the question of financing.
We understand that many of you are now looking for alternative FiveM roleplay servers to live out your passion for the Grand Theft Auto universe. We encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity and explore the variety of servers available. We want you to continue to realize your creative and gaming ambitions, even if FiveRP is currently unavailable.
We would like to thank you again for your loyalty and understanding. We know how much you value and miss FiveRP, and that means a lot to us.
